IndustriesContractors and home services

AI and automation for contractors, so the paperwork stops riding in the truck.

Alpine Ops helps contractors and home service businesses in the Uintah Basin (construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fencing and landscaping) stop doing the office work twice. We build quotes drafted from your site notes, work orders that enter themselves from a photo, and phone answering for the calls you can't take on a job, for a fixed price you know before work starts.

01Where the week goes

The job takes a day. The paperwork around it takes all week.

Follow one job from the first call to the paid invoice and count how many times the same information gets written down. It's usually more times than you'd guess, and most of it happens after the real work is done.

  1. The call

You're on a roof or under a sink. The call goes to voicemail, and the customer tries the next name on the list.

    On the job
  2. The quote

Measurements on the back of a receipt, then the quote written up after dinner, once the kids are in bed.

    At the kitchen table
  3. The schedule

Who's where tomorrow lives in a group text, a whiteboard and your head.

    In a group text
  4. The work order

Signed on the tailgate, then it rides in the truck until someone drops it at the office.

    In the truck
  5. Hours and materials

Copied off the work order into payroll, and the parts into whatever tracks job cost.

    At the office
  6. The invoice

Typed up when someone gets to it, then chased when it goes unpaid.

    At the office, again

02Example workflow

One week of jobs at a fencing company, before and after.

A made-up fence and gate contractor with two crews. The steps are typical; the hours are illustrative. Your real numbers come out of the $500 AI process analysis.

03What we'd build

What we'd build, and the service each piece comes from.

Pick the pieces that fit. A build can be one of these or several, and it starts with the systems you already use. Every price is known before work starts.

04What fits, in what order

The order we'd expect for most contractors.

The analysis sets the real order for your business. This is where we'd expect to start, and the reason for each step.

  1. Start here

    AI consulting

The free consult, then the $500 analysis: we follow one job from the call to the paid invoice and count every time it's written down. With your okay, we record and transcribe it.

  2. Often the quickest win

    AI phone answering

If calls go to voicemail while you're on a job, this is quick to set up. Your main number forwards to it, so you keep your number.

  3. Quotes drafted from your notes, work orders from a photo, and hours entered once. This is where the most office hours come back.

  4. Once data is entered once

    Data, reporting and dashboards

A weekly report of jobs quoted, won, open and unpaid, without anyone building it.

  5. Any time it's needed

    Your website, SEO and GEO

If people can't find you on Google or Maps, or your site lists the wrong services, this moves up the list.

  6. Check-ins, everything kept working, and upgrades as AI improves.

05Questions

Questions contractors ask about AI and automation.

Something not here? Call (801) 477-6186 and ask a real person.

See every question
5.1My crew isn't big on technology. Will they actually use it?

That's why we build around what they already do. In most builds the crew's only new step is taking a photo of the work order they already fill out. We test it with your real jobs and show them how it works, at your shop.

5.2Can it write quotes without me?

It drafts them from your notes, measurements and price list. You check every quote, change what you want and send it. Nothing goes to a customer without a person.

5.3Will the phone assistant schedule jobs?

It can book times if your build includes appointment scheduling. Otherwise it takes the caller's name, number and what they need and texts you a summary right away, so you stay in charge of your schedule. Calls about things like a leak or no heat get flagged urgent by rules you set.

5.4Do I have to switch the software I use now?

No. We start with the systems you already use and connect them. If something truly can't do the job, we'll explain why before anything changes.

5.5I'm a one or two truck outfit. Is this worth it?

Maybe not all of it, and the free consult is where we find out. For a small outfit, phone answering or quotes drafted from your notes may be the only thing worth doing, and we'll tell you that plainly.

5.6What does a build cost?

Every build is a fixed price, typically $2,500 to $15,000 depending on scope, and you know the exact price before any work starts. It starts with a free 30-minute consult and a $500 AI process analysis.

Running a crew and doing the books at night? Pull up a chair.

Start with a free 30-minute consult, at your shop, your yard or by phone. Bring a work order and a quote, and we'll tell you plainly what we'd take off your plate first.
