Alpine Ops, design review
Nineteen homepage directions
Round 4 (options 16 to 19) combines the two favorites from Round 3: the Sit-Down first screen (headline, "Pull up a chair", the notepad) with The Report's numbered sections and content, each with a different idea for what goes on the notepad and how the rest of the page moves. Earlier rounds are kept below for comparison. Open each on your phone too.
Round 4 Sit-Down meets The Report
- 16Kitchen Table Brief Round 4The closest blend. The notepad tallies where an example week goes (17 hours by hand), then a horizontal five step timeline, a sticky split for what we fix, a full teal band for your numbers, and the Basin map.
- 17Pick Your Business Round 4The most interactive. The notepad lists the questions we ask at the free consult. The five steps follow you as you scroll, tabs let an owner pick oil field, trucking, contractor, clinic or shop, and the data diagram draws itself.
- 18The Plan on Paper Round 4The clearest. The notepad is the whole plan with every price, so the offer lands before any scrolling. Then click-to-open steps, a big pull quote, a before and after switch, and a dark numbers band.
- 19Night Table Round 4The hybrid. A dark first screen where the yellow notepad holds notes from a sit-down, your problems in pencil and our fixes in red, then the light teal brief, closing dark again at contact.
Round 3 messaging first, real logo
- 11Sit-Down Round 3Light and warm: the kitchen table conversation. A legal pad process map of a contractor's quote to invoice, waste circled in pencil red, and the five steps written on the same pad.
- 12Dispatch Round 3Dark Night Shift mood with field ops grit: a field ticket stamped RETYPED three times, then AUTO once, and every section run like a work order. Lime and safety amber.
- 13The Report Round 3Light analyst brief: numbered sections, figures with captions, where an example week goes, a scope of engagement table, and the strongest data and reporting story.
- 14Plain Talk Round 3Dark and typographic: the owner's own words as a giant quote, answered straight. The page is the questions owners ask, with Book Cliffs ochre answers and prices you cannot miss.
- 15Your AI Department Round 3Dark and steady: an org chart of a Basin business with the missing box drawn in, the AI department. Five steps to join your team, then what the department does for years.
Round 2 dark, consulting first
- 06Signal Round 2Night Shift grown up: near-black with lime as the lead accent, an ops audit console in the hero flipping sample tasks from manual to automated, bento grid of UI vignettes.
- 07Flow Round 2Process diagram hero on navy and teal: a sample job flowing step by step, the bottleneck flagged amber and an automated path routing around it, one diagram language throughout.
- 08Quiet Round 2The very minimal one: pure typography on near-black, a strict 12 column grid with a numbered rail, index lists and hairlines, teal used only on the buttons and one ridge dot.
- 09Field Notes Round 2Editorial dark: magazine cover hero in Instrument Serif over warm charcoal, engraved Uinta ridge plate, chapter numerals, a field guide to busywork, amber and teal used sparingly.
- 10Range Round 2Teal plus lime on navy: a mountain panorama hero with a trail climbing through Assess, Build and Support waypoints, gradient ridge lines, closest blend of Night Shift and the live site.
Round 1 five broad styles
- 01EditorialMagazine-style serif layout on warm paper with fine-line mountain art; calm, literate authority.
- 02Night ShiftBold dark tech with a live after-hours call log console and an electric accent; the shift that works while you sleep.
- 03BasinWarm local and mountain: layered Uinta dusk landscape, red rock and sage palette, neighborly tone.
- 04SwissMinimal International Style: strict grid, huge grotesk type, one red signal accent, nothing extra.
- 05Friendly ProductModern SaaS look with soft gradients, rounded cards and polished UI mocks of the phone line, chat and automations.
